Neutrogena Hand Cream Norwegian Formula

My first hand cream: it is nourishing like a balm and leaves hands soft to touch. But it would never make it to my holy grails. Read on to know the detailed review.

Product claim: This formula delivers effective relief for severely dry and chapped hands. It's so concentrated that only a small amount instantly creates a moisture barrier to sooth driest skin like wrapping your hands with a moisture bandage. Feel instant moisturizing result, long-lasting softness, and overall healthier skin even in harsh winter condition.

My experience: Since I have OCD and wash my hands numerous times, my hands have become dry and it is said that the first signs of age appear on our hands. So, I had to start caring for them. The Neutrogena was my first hand cream. I just have to take a small drop and that is enough to keep my hands moisturised for about 5 hours. The duration really depends on how frequently we wash hands.

I love how soft it makes my hands but I really don't like how it takes time to sink into the skin and had to be massaged thoroughly. Also, on washing, the hands are very slippery like a layer of the moisturiser is coming out. For all these reasons, although it is very effective and nourishing for hands, I would not buy it second time.

Pros:
1. Requires very small amount.
2. Very moisturising
3. Great for both day and night
4. The packaging is very travel friendly
5. Mild fragrance
6. Budget friendly

Cons:
1. Takes time to absorb and had to be massaged thoroughly

Overall verdict:
Neutrogena Hand cream is a great everyday moisturiser and I would have recommended it if I had not found other great alternatives like Jergens hand cream, and Vaseline Cocoa body lotion. Love them more than this one. However, for the sake of trying new products, you can surely give it a shot.
